About Richard Parr

After a lengthy period of travelling, I'm back in London. My goal is to write a book on how to teach and to open my own Creative Writing school, involving the art of individual self-expression, using philosophy and spirituality to connect and unmask the persona.

I was born in 1986 and lived my childhood in Lincolnshire. In 2009 I underwent a transformation of the mind and left behind my old routine. I enjoyed my time at university studying Creative Writing (2009-2012) where I was influenced by the outstanding teaching of David Fulton and Elizabeth Evenden, both who have helped craft my writing.

Another great collection from Parr. The tone is a little different this time, more mature, maybe? Like he's grown as a writer as well as a character. Maybe just a bit darker. Favorite part: reading "Interference" (about the distraction of a relationship) directly before "The Lecturer." It seemed a deliberate (and poetic, of course) choice. Both struck home with me and made me smile in empathy. Once again, well done.
