Fishing is a theme that runs through the book and the authors tells of several hilarious outings with his dad, who is a character to be reckoned with.
Many books have been written about miserable childhoods, this one balances out the equation because the author believes he had a very good childhood.
Now don't go running off with the idea that the author was in any way priviledged. He came from a large familly, had little money and his father could sup some stuff.
