I wasn't sure what I'd signed up for with 'Ace in the Hole' but found it a very entertaining read. For such a short story, there are several twists that caught me off guard and finished with a great suprise ending. The nice pace and unique voice swept me along until the very last word. I look forward to more from this author.

It's pretty short--I read it in one sitting--but it's also very sweet. Um ... hang on. Sweet's not the right word. What I mean is, it's also very saucy. Yep, that's a much more appropriate word to describe this little tale. The pacing is good (hence the single-sitting-read), the *ahem* descriptions are good, and although the MC isn't very likeable (note: she isn't meant to be) that doesn't detract from reader enjoyment at all. Good twist at the ending, too.

I really enjoyed this story. A nice twist of contemporary and sci-fi and plenty of steamy sex to keep me happy. I especially enjoyed the touch of poetic justice at the end. I recommend this one.
