Description

Katrina Collins isn’t like other musicians, she doesn’t do interviews and no one has ever seen her outside of her musical arena. Her beauty is startling, her effect upon an audience mesmerising. Lewis Morrison isn’t like any other music journalist, as he despises music and loathes musicians. They find each other and their discovery brings hope, redemption, pain, pleasure and death.

This is a quick read, not because of the novella length, but because you won't be able to put it down. The main character, as others have mentioned, is not so likable and a guy who gets under your skin and stick with you. Read this book to meet him and you'll love the rest.

This is definitely an interesting novella. The writing is very elegant and flows beautifully and is presented in sharp contrast to the disgusting and depressed main character. Lewis is a critic who is required to attend a performance of a new sensation in the music industry, Katrina, who is a vampire. Although they fall for each other, the story does not have a happy ending. This is a story of love, loss and pain.

I have been struggling with how to review this book. It is completely different than any other book I've ever read. This book is dark and cryptic. It doesn't come right out and spill all the details right off. At first, I found this annoying. I am used to my brain candy. The more I got into the book then more I found myself really enjoying the pace and really concentrating on each sentence. The main character isn't very likeable at all. However, I found myself rooting for him. The end was nothing I expected. This book stuck with me long after I've finished it. It just reaches out and grabs you. I highly recommend it. Beware, it's going to be nothing like you expect.
