Extended description

A demonstration of erotic hypnosis leads to two relationships: one inspiring and creative, the other abusive and destructive.

Darren Braid was a respected psychology professor until a student accused him of trying to hypnotize her into sexual slavery. The accusation was recanted, but the university dismissed him anyway. Feeling betrayed, Darren retreats into seclusion. But the FBI believes that his exceptional skill with hypnosis and his tainted personal history make him the perfect undercover agent to infiltrate a sex slavery ring.

Latoya Douglas is a beautiful black woman and one of L.A.’s hottest rap producers. Latoya will do almost anything to support her artists, including bringing them women. Her sister has been missing for four months, and now she is working for the studio that’s fronting the slavery ring. I enjoyed this book. It is more of an erotic novel than a thriller, but it has an interesting plot that goes well beyond an excuse to string together sex scenes. Overall, I found this to be a nice balance of story and sex with the sex scenes fitting the plot rather than the other way around.

I would be interested in reading more from this author, particularly a sequel.

TL;DR: It's a good book if you like male-dom EMC stories and you should buy it.

I thought it was quite good, and a very good value for the money. It is exactly the sort of thing that people who like that sort of thing will like. And I mean you. Buy a copy.

That being said, if you're particularly interested in law enforcement, you might not like the way FBI agents are portrayed in this book. They're not evil or corrupt, but they're not FBI agents.

Now the good stuff:

1) The story was believable and engaging. I thought the main character was easy to identify with for a person who's into male-dominated EMC, which I am.

2) Very good sex scenes.

3) While the power of hypnotism was somewhat overwrought, for obvious reasons, the author obviously has a good grasp of the fundamentals of how it works and why it works and it was smoothly integrated into the story.

4) Generally the book was literately written and pleasurable to read. The story wasn't just segues for sex scenes even though there were plenty of those.

I found "Redemption for the Hypnotist" to be an insanely hot read. I would certainly read a sequel or another story from this author. There's a little something for almost everyone in this story. So go ahead and download. Just be prepared to wonder where the time went.
