The Happy House of Mayhem is about the illusion of the perfect relationship, the perfect happy household, and how that illusion is shattered in the blink of an eye. With the transgression of the husband James against his wife, Lisa, the reader is thrown into a ride of vertigo that makes one want to hang on for the duration.

This work is a wonderful introduction to Trent Zelazny's work. He commands strong voice in his narration and makes just about anything compelling. My favorite part is when he paid an homage to The Shining. Mr. Zelazny has definitely earned my respect as a reader. I strongly encourage people to read this tale.
