The Meaning of Christmas

Snow turns to rain as the day thaws out
And the ice on the road turns to sleet
Some people wonder what the fuss is all about
Dreams only come in your sleep

First of December is here again
With the promise of snow - not rain
Our winter wonderland is nearly here
And children will play without fear

That jolly fat man dressed all in red
Will creep down our chimneys when we're tucked up in bed
He'll leave dirty footprints all covered in soot
And wake us from our slumber, our sleep, our rut

Presents will line the Christmas tree base
And all our troubles will fall into place
Just to see a smile light up a loved one’s face
Now that's the meaning of Christmas
