Do you suffer from Benvy? Every time you play Bejeweled Blitz do you find your scores come up short? Are you finding yourself quickly moving toward becoming a Bejeweliac? If so, lets improve your game!
Bejeweled Blitz is fast paced fun. Its one-minute of non-stop sensory overload complete with exploding gems, bright colors and vibrant cheerleading. But, we Bejeweled addicts (Bejeweliacs) know one-minute is never one-minute.
It begins with one minute but a few games later it becomes "one more before dinner", "one more before CSI" or "one more before bed." What begins as a quick and easy diversion from our crazy lives becomes 30 minutes of full-fledged fun.
Why do we find ourselves playing "one more game"? The answer is both in the beauty of the games simplicity and our own competitive spirit. We play not only against our own high score but also against our friend's high scores. Ultimately, we play for a number of reasons including the right to consistently rank at the top of our friends list. Or, in the words of one player "Work is crazy. Sometimes I feel like there's no break for me, even at home. Bejeweled gives me a brief selfish moment I really enjoy." In our poll, we found 79% of respondents play Blitz every day. As one Bejeweliac wrote "I often play so long that my eyes go buggy and start to hurt. I love this game." Clearly, whether it's the economy, work or everyday stress, Blitz provides an important role in our daily routine.
