Greed, in Tyler's opinion, was good. He didn't need a character in a movie to tell him so. He'd learned it a long time ago on his own.
Being greedy didn't mean you were selfish or mean. It meant you indulged your desires. Tyler didn't see a problem with that. When he wanted something he went after it and kept going after it until he was satisfied. He was merely taking care of number one.
