"McAfee," mumbled Jimmy Castellanos. He'd stopped in the middle of the hall to tie his sneaker, jamming some folded papers between his teeth to free his hands. Now he stood, removed the papers and flipped a shock of wet, dark hair back off his forehead.

"Can't you use a dryer like everyone else?" I asked, watching pellets of water spatter across the front of my jacket.
