Melinda glared at her parents as she stood in the opened doorway of their large bedroom.
Her mother, Jenny Arthur, was seated in front of a large marble vanity mirror that was pressed against the wall on the far side of the massive room. She held a cell phone in her left hand and a mascara brush in her right hand. She gazed at the phone for a few moments before she placed the device onto the table and applied the mascara to her eye.
