Wow, you’re being a pervert. This is your mother you’re thinking about,” Kurt said to himself, and then decided to stop looking over at her. He’d focus on the new sights before him. The skyscrapers that were just as big as any in New York City. He had been to New York sometime as a kid, and it reminded him a lot of that. The driver looked behind at them and then hit his turn signal. They weaved in and out of traffic. His mother gripped the side of the car. Then they crammed the taxi into a small parking spot in front of their hotel.

The hotel was towering. It actually looked like a long, glass elevator. His father really went out of their way to make them comfortable. Kurt hopped out of the taxi cab and immediately headed towards the trunk, where his mother was trying to take out all of the luggage. He helped her, picking up the heavy luggage. She had packed a lot of things, most of it beauty products. She was trying so desperately to make his father try to come back home.

Thanks, Kurt. You’re the best.”

She patted him on the shoulder. He picked up the heavy suitcases and put them down on the ground. They were light in his hands. It wasn’t always like that, for the past year, Kurt had gotten very into weight lifting and body building. He felt stronger, sharper than before. All of the girls started to notice him more too. Everything just got easier with more confidence.

They headed into the hotel as businessmen passed them by. Despite being the middle of the night, the hotel was packed. It was swarming with people bustling about. It looked like Tokyo didn’t sleep much either. Kurt and his mother headed up to the receptionist’s desk. Meanwhile, he watched the TV and listened to two Japanese officials arguing over foreign policy. He really had no clue what they meant. He was just watching.

He heard his mother starting to get a little loud.

You can’t fix this?”
