It was a cute little thing. Barely over six inches in length. But it felt so good in her hand. Hard and sleek and powerful. It made her tingle with excitement. And awe.
It was a great responsibility. Her first time! She had been timid in the beginning. Even a little frightened. But she had made up her mind.
For her, it was the right thing to do. And now was the time. She had not made her choice lightly. She had considered the risks and weighed them against the benefits. Some of her friends thought she was crazy, but a few of them understood her reasoning.
Protection was essential! You heard about the dangers all the time. One has to be prepared. She couldn't depend on someone else. It was her life. Her body. Her responsibility.
She had waited so long. Longer than she had ever imagined. But she had been patient, and now the waiting was over.
She grasped the edge of her blouse and pulled it up, sliding the little snub-nosed thirty-eight into the waistband holster tucked in her jeans, letting the blouse fall back into place over the new companion. Perfect! Completely concealed. Not even a bulge.
