Hidden by her cloak, Claudia moved with a purpose through the dark streets of Rome. Rising over the rows of low dwellings, her destination dominated the scene: the Colosseum loomed just ahead of her. Every step brought her closer, and already she could feel the first bouts of excitement course through her. She had waited long for this day. Hers was not a thirst easily quenched, and it took a certain set of circumstances to make it possible for her. Tonight, fortunately, fate had smiled on her. Claudia's husband had gone to visit a friend on his nearby estate and not made it back yet. And she knew that there were games planned for tomorrow.

As she came close to her destination, she checked around to see if there was anyone in sight. The city's streets lay deserted. In the distance, a dog barked at the moon. Otherwise, there was silence. She darted across the open space in front of the giant building and into the first row of arches. Silently, she made her way to the entrance to the dungeons. She knew the way well, and found it easily even in the darkness. She had gone it before. Turning a corner, she came face to face with the guard stationed there. The man did not take his duty too seriously, sitting on a stool, leaning back against the wall and dozing off with his eyes closed. She cleared her throat. He woke with a start, flinching instinctively when he saw her dark form towering above him. Claudia reached into her toga and took out a small bag of coins. "I wish to see Priscus and Verus. And I wish you to remain quiet about it." she said and tossed him the bag. The guard opened it and peered inside. Apparently satisfied, he took a key and unlocked the door to the dungeons. It was hardly a new request for him. She had been here before, and she knew that others had been, too. Wordlessly, he handed her the key to the cells. "I will be back before dawn." she said. The guard merely nodded, already back on his stool and with his eyes closed.

Swiftly, Claudia stepped inside, the smell of wet earth at the foot of the stairs sending her mind back to all the times she had been here before - and the sensations that had followed. Already, the area between her legs was heating up. Tonight would be even better than the ones before. Priscus and Verus were known to be among the best fighters the arena had ever seen. Their skills with sword and shield was unmatched. Tomorrow, they would face each other for the first and, probably, the last time. As she walked down the corridor, she tried to imagine what they would do. This was her secret desire. To be the last woman these men would probably ever be with. For one of them, tonight might well be the last night on earth. When the sun sat tomorrow, one of them would be walking the plains of Elysium.
