As a child, I was a fanatical reader of Nancy Drew books. She was my heroine. Her interests were boundless, she was always learning something new, and most glorious of all, she had her own car!
One day, as I sat on a pool deck watching a lone woman, ninetyone years old, swim laps, I wondered what Nancy Drew would be like at ninety. That became the impetus for this book, which features Nancy Dickenson, not Nancy Drew, but a retired detective, nonetheless, and her friends in the 90s Club at Whisperwood Retirement Village.
