Hannah slowly opened her eyes, her vision extremely blurry, her head throbbing and her body barely responding to her. As her vision began to focus, she wondered where she was, her throat felt extremely raspy and she slowly managed to support herself on her elbows. To her left was some kind of machine, broken, with a tube running into her arm. She began to recognize that she was in some kind of hospital room, but all the machines were broken.

“Hello?” She croaked.

She was only met with silence as she began to wriggle her toes. Her body was finally starting to react, coming back to life bit by bit. She moved her long black hair to the side and managed to position herself on the edge of the bed she was on. Hannah slowly placed one foot on the cold bare ground and then the other, supporting herself on the bed and the wall. Her body felt extremely weak and unresponsive, nearly numb as she tried to stand on her own two feet. After a few moments of patiently waiting and steadying, she was able to finally stand upright, with a little help from the wall.
