Like watching an old, grainy film, it didn't seem real--just a gray cityscape steadily turning into brown neighborhoods. The ill-maintained houses mirrored his ill-maintained life. It seemed all he could do was lose. Today's loss was big, and he fretted over how he would tell Dee.
