For instance, there are intellectually motivated doctors who become fixed on materialism. There are also teachers who believe they cannot participate in any religious activity or mention anything about faith, simply because they are public workers. In addition to imparting material knowledge, those employed to educate should be “teachers of souls.” These professionals are not alone in denying faith in their occupational roles. Many other people in today’s society are engaged in numerous activities and actions that are wrong according to the true morals of life, the laws of life, and the ethics of good and evil that are based on the Truth. If people could take a much broader perspective of the world and indeed the entire universe, they would be able to perceive the Truth.

Success in the material world is different from what is considered success in the spirit world. To achieve spiritual success, you must have a firm understanding of the Truth and have an unfaltering pillar of true faith within you. If you consider only your material success or failure in this world, without having genuine faith, you will never be able to gain true success. You can become an expert in a subject, acquire an abundance of knowledge, and celebrate excellent achievements in this world, but if all of this does not correspond to the fundamental faith, you will not be able to achieve true happiness.

As one example, consider a person who has become extremely famous as an author of novels about violence and murder. Let us suppose that the books become long-time bestsellers all around the world and the television series based on them are wildly popular. The person in question might be highly regarded in society, but spiritually he is likely to suffer significantly. It is possible that such an individual may experience pain in a world much like the one he has created in his novels. This is because the writer had such an extreme interest in murder and violence, plotting for his books about how to kill people or lure them into deadly traps. The soul of a person who thinks about such things all the time is inevitably destined to spend a significant time in Hell. Therefore, no matter how highly esteemed individuals may be in this world, the respect and adulation they achieve does not guarantee that they will immediately return to Heaven.
