Introduction

The key to the Holy Spirit’s unabated presence and activity is the spirit of a man. John 3:5,6 states, “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” The Holy Spirit quickens the spirit of a man according to Ephesians 2:1,2. The person who is headed for Hell has a body and soul, but his spirit is dead in the sight of God. He has a disobedient spirit working in him. Thus, when he trusts Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection for payment of his sins, The Holy Spirit sprinkles the shed blood of Christ on his soul. The Holy Spirit then takes up residence in the body of the new child of God.
