“Kel, I thought Tel'dai Knights didn't travel alone,” Ben asked the exhausted younger man on the other side of their small camp fire.

“There were twelve of us, when we landed on the western coast of the City-Kingdoms,” The other man said wearily, “We were dispatched to deal with this Warlord who killed one of us.”

Twelve men descended the gangplank from the sleek sailing vessel, as different in appearance and build as they were in personality and equipment, but all of them bearing the mark of a Tel'dai Knight visible upon their flesh, and carrying themselves with deadly assurance.
