The alarm blared like a marching band at eight o’clock in the morning. Ian groggily slapped his hand on the clock until it stopped making noise.
“Too early,” he said as he pushed the sheets off his bed. He grabbed his phone on the nightstand and clicked the button. His familiar wallpaper featuring the Chicago Blackhawks stared back at him. No texts. No missed calls.
