Frincstine and the Euthanasia Specialist
Frincstine stands outside an apartment, having walked past the lobby downstairs with a clock high above in the postal cafe. The postal cafe is dark, the chairs and table are empty, deserted as if watching her. Frincstine tries to imagine the people that would have been there during the day, sipping their cafe lattes and talking business and graphic design. It is the business of middle class pleasure. I don’t even have a knife with me; this is a good start, a real good start. She thinks to herself. I don’t have a backup plan.
Frincstine gets in the warm elevator, looking down the floor. It is chequered, and she feels like she’s playing chess. Unable to stare at the internet print out in her hand, with bold black lines indicating the forum borders outline, her eyes glance at it only for a moment. Agreysir Apartments, 805. Frincstine presses the plastic button with the silver 8, and waits for the door to close, with anticipation.
