It was early one normal morning at work when my phone rang.

“Good morning, Patricia speaking.”

“Good morning Patricia, it’s Douglas.”

My heart jumped; he had never rung me direct before.

“Oh, good morning Mr. Tracey. How may I help you?”

Maria looked over with a quizzical eyebrow raised. She knew Douglas had never phoned me direct either.

“Patricia, (I love it when he uses my name) I have a teleconference in an hour with a gentleman, Andre Bonfils from France. I am thinking of acquiring a parcel of land there and we need to go over a few details.” he explained.
