Lauren held up her wine glass. She watched as the waiter spilled the red liquid from the emerald bottle into it. As before, he filled it to the exact same place.

As it was her third glass of the evening, she felt a little giddy. She could feel her inhibitions taking off their clothes and dancing naked in her mind. The waiter smiled as he turned and left.

Leaning in conspiratorially, Lauren motioned for Zach to lean in as well.

“Damn, he’s a good waiter,” she said.

“I’ll drink to that!” Zach said.

They lightly tinked their two glasses together. Lauren took one sip, then another. She couldn’t believe how well the date had gone so far. She needed to remember to thank Amber, her best friend, for setting it up.
