All Jacked Up In The House The Mouse Built
All Jacked Up Series Number 4
I've been lying here for three hours and still can't order my feet to connect to the floor. Or command my eyes to open. I wonder if the people I hear bustling around will ever get curious enough to open my door. I hope not. The last 48 hours are still a blur. I'd at least like to make some kind of sense of what happened.
I sigh, turn away from the wall, and open my eyes.
A costume? I didn't see that before. It's a...Goofy costume? Really? I wonder if Stone set that up before the explosion.
My arm twitches.
Ah yes, the explosion. I still don't understand what happened. I suppose I never will. Stone was protecting me. Probably the only guy that could. He also understood how socially inept I am and was having his woman help teach me to be better. In one boom, they were both gone.
A tear runs down my cheek. I wipe it away, then look at the Goofy costume again.
Am I seriously supposed to wear that? Ugh. That would fit Stone's sense of humor perfectly. I wouldn't have to 'act' the part. I am the part.
