Chapter 1

Amanda Stanton

I was sitting on a plane. I was trying to crane my neck past the rather large shouldered, well proportioned, and fantastically fit man in the seat next to me. But for some reason he wasn't letting me get anywhere near that view. And that reason, well, it was because he was bloody Sebastian Shaw.

For about the millionth time, I tried to twist my head even further around Sebastian, but it seemed that every single time I did, he just brought up that incredibly ridiculous and stupidly expensive magazine he'd bought at the airport, and blocked my view. Why anyone would spend that much on something that wasn't even a book, and looked far more like a catalog for watches, male deodorant, and, sleek, thin girlfriends, amazed me. But more than that it was the fact that Sebastian was sitting there, hardly paying any attention to me, and yet every single time I tried to look at the incredible azure waters below us as we flew over the Atlantic, he'd shift to the side just enough so I wouldn't be able to see around him.
