Chapter 13: About the Author

Chapter 1: Preface

My name is Lisa. I'm reading this old diary entry that documents a coincidental string of events that occurred years ago. It sort of tells the story of my skating life up to now.

[This is a fiction short story. All characters in this story are fictitious. Any similarity to persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.]

Chapter 2: I Preferred Hockey Skaters - they were Macho

First, a little background. Many years ago I ice skated at the Denver University (DU) Arena. I learned to skate at D.U. and my parents hired a coach for me and I got pretty good. That led to some competitive skating, but I never did much as a senior competitor like Michelle Kwan.
