This is Dorian. He is 9 years old and lives with his mother and his father. He loves to swim and play baseball. But most of all Dorian loves to cook, especially cookies. He tells everyone that he knows, “When I grow up, I’m going to be a chef!” Today is the neighborhood ‘Kids Food Competition’. The winner receives a gold medal! Dorian is excited and really nervous too. “What if no one likes my cookies?” he wonders to himself. He decides to make his world-famous sugar coated cranberry-oatmeal cookies. The whole family, even his friends loves those cookies. They are hard to make and sometimes they don’t come out the way he planned. But, Dorian knew that those world famous sugar cranberry-oatmeal cookies are his best chance to win! After all, his mother did say they were ‘world famous’! Dorian starts to work on his list of ingredients. “I need sugar, cranberries, oatmeal…” he says aloud.
