INTRODUCTION

As everyone knows, most Teddy Bears are prized knickknacks made of cloth, which are stuffed with straw or cotton and made to sit on beds with their masters. Fortunately for me, that was not the case. My grandfather, my two sisters and I, along with a bunch of our relatives have been given a very remarkable gift. It was the gift of life. This all took place on a beautiful spring day. We were hanging out in our master’s bedroom, still stuffed with straw and cotton, when a strange voice broke the silence. The master’s pet dog, Lady, had just run away so she was immensely sad. She had just picked me up and held me in her arms, hoping to fill her sadness, when the voice’s message revealed that her bears could be brought to life if she would agree to treat them as real people—also to encourage them to spend their lives pursuing happiness. In addition, they would need to learn about the important things in life so they could pass them on to others. She agreed, so here we are.
