1- À Stradbrooke Island

C’était l’époque à Stradbrooke Island où les touristes du continent vont embarquer dans les ferries. Dans le Queensland, en face sur le continent Australien, chacun n’avait qu’une petite portion de Pacifique à traverser pour atteindre la jolie île sauvage, verte et sableuse de Stradbrooke Island.

Les Brisbanites comme ils s’appelaient, et tous les autres touristes du monde, aussi aimaient à attendre la couleur mauve délicate des jacarandas des jardins de la ville pour venir s’amollir sur les contours de l’île.
