Geneva 1938

Jonathan Kerzner was in Geneva, his tall thin frame stretched out on his hotel chair as he thought about his blond 14 year old son in America. David consistently had the best school reports and grades. For his age was he not only academically gifted, but also rock solid and well-built. That must have been a result of the swimming; he had already competed in his 10th youth championships in Boston, and in two years time was set to go to the All America Championships. Jonathan saw him in his mind, swimming in the pool at the foot of the hill where his stately white house stood. It was the largest mansion in the city and had an ocean view. It stood in the middle of open countryside surrounded by undulating grass as perfect as a golf course.
