They stood in the middle of an old roadhouse called The House That Music Built. It smelled of stale smoke and old wood. It was little more than an old converted barn. The bar was big and the stage was small, and a lot of tables and chairs were placed haphazardly across the floor. Three men and a woman sat at a table near the stage, looking at him curiously, and the old man in front of him studied him through squinted eyes.
"What's your name, son?"
"Johnny B. Goode."
"Get outta town."
