Letter From Bob Margolin

Well, I saw your e-mail this morning before leaving for the airport to fly to Orlando, FL to play...a corporate gig. I'll be working with Chicago Blues musicians who would not be considered "pale dudes:" Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, Calvin "Fuzz" Jones, Mojo Buford, and Henry Gray. The theme for this corporate gig will be "Chicago Blues." I expect, in the middle of some fancy hotel's ballroom, to be props that try to capture the atmosphere of a South Side Blues club. That will be a little funny, but we will enjoy the backline, sound system, catered food, and hospitality that you won't find in the authentic club. Maybe even a Steinway piano that costs as much as a house.
