Stacy and Harold Go Streaking

By Ernest Winchester

“Hey.” Stacy stared at Harold until she was sure she had his attention.

He in turn, reluctantly gave her his attention, fearful of the smirk that was affixed to those beautiful full lips. Finally he could hold back no longer, even though he feared what she was about to say. He had no clue, but the longer she held the smirk, the more he was convinced that it wasn’t going to be good. “What?” He said softly, certain that he was going to regret his response.

“Let’s go streaking.”

Harold had been right to wait before putting the three ketchup-coated French-fries into his mouth. He surly would have spit them out if he hadn’t. “What!” He held the fries in midair, his eyes locked into her beautiful blues. They were bluer than usual and Harold assumed it was due to the bright blue sky over the outdoor dining area. They had left the campus to have a late afternoon lunch at a nearby fast food restaurant. “Didn’t that go out in the sixties?”
