INTRODUCTION

The purpose of this book is to help the student learn the patterns and systems behind the forms of verbs in English. To help with this, I have divided English verbs into four classes. Class A contains the most regular verbs, and Class D contains the most irregular.

This book is not just an alphabetical listing of verbs with their parts. For that, see my Dictionary of English Irregular Verbs.
