Eggplant Smile

My teeth were once covered with purple eggplant, and I called Eggplant Smile!

In my childhood, I lived in a traditional Korean house in Iksan, South Korea. The front part of my Korean house consisted of three rooms, a kitchen attached to the house, and a big wooden floor (called ‘Maru’) in the center.

As in the center of our traditional home made of the wooden floor, Maru had multiple purposes: to serve as the place of the dining room, the playroom and/or the living room where family, relatives, and friends gather together to eat and talk and laugh.
