We'd been dancing for hours. Us girls, and all the warriors in the manyata, and friends of theirs from other villages. The river gushed in the distance, and the acacia tree shaded us when we needed to rest. Now, with darkness settling around us, we thought of other things than dance.
I'd caught one of the strangers, the tallest and handsomest warrior among them. He moved like a cheetah, taut and strong. All through the fire of sunset, I'd been imagining what sex with him would be like.
I told him, and he laughed.
