As he slipped his rough hand down her pink satin thongs, Rose's body tensed. Although they had been dating for six months and she thought she was ready to take the relationship further, her body failed her. Telling herself to relax and enjoy Troy's touch, she closed her eyes, hoping to block out everything but the love she felt for him.
His kiss was full and hard, but somehow despite the wanting fierceness of it, it was also soft. His tongue gently traced her lower lip. She looked deep into his deep ocean blue eyes and knew he only wanted to love her; to please her in ways only a man in love could do, but her gaze said something different. Troy noticed immediately.
Spontaneously he removed his large hand from the erotic, soft place it had found and slid over to her left side and sighed.
Her body did not want sex. She didn’t want him touching her in a place only one man had ever touched before, but she wanted more than anything to make Troy happy.
Tears stung Rose’s eyes. She knew she had hurt him deeply. He had been so patient waiting on her to be ready, and she really thought she was this time. They had planned the night for weeks. Tonight was his twenty fourth birthday and she was giving him the ultimate gift; herself. Now, she was withdrawing her gift. She remembered her excitement one Christmas, five years ago. Her dad had a large present for her under the tree, wrapped in shiny silver with a bright red velvet ribbon. Even though she didn’t know what was in the package, it was still the most beautiful thing she had ever seen.
