Tuesday morning I got bored with human beings and told the models in my studio to dress and get out. They were pissed until I paid them for the rest of the hour. I didn't watch them go. The canvas chair was too comfortable and there was something mesmerizing about the K-Y oozing out of the uncapped tube. It was on a folding table just outside the circle of light, close enough to catch a highlight. I wondered if anyone would buy a photo of it, or if people were blind to the unlikely beauty of cheap lubricant... when it's been abandoned. Is it open because the lovers were too intent on screwing one another to screw the top back on? Or is it a sadder story? Do people think about those things?
