How To Use This Book



This book is actually three books in one. You can use any of the programs or start at the beginning and go through all three sets of exercises. You can even do all three levels of exercises in a single day. The first exercise set is designed for beginning or less experienced writers who need a quick confidence booster. Each day's activities urge writers to simply come up with five sentences about the given topic. It's a great way to get your feet wet with writing. You can bust writer's block in the chops with this one!


The second section provides six weeks' worth of practice creating paragraphs. It's a good place to start with learners who need practice framing their thoughts and organizing their work at the most basic level. Each day provides a suggested exercise to write in paragraph form.


The third level provides practice with creating longer pieces of writing. Writers create essays of various types, stories, reports and more. This level is outstanding for improving organizational skills and for preparation for essays on tests such as college admittance exams or employment-related writing. Plan to spend at least thirty minutes on these exercises and perhaps do a bit of preliminary research.
