For all the attention he gets in the media, the Bible really doesn’t have much to say about the Antichrist. Just generic boogeyman stuff, the equivalent of telling kids how goblins will steal them away if they don’t brush their teeth. And contrary to popular belief, he’s not mentioned in the Book of Revelations. The Bible doesn’t even describe the Antichrist, but rather an antichrist, more an office or product of circumstance than a dark champion of fate.

But for once popular culture is correct. The Antichrist is in fact a singular being, a man of destiny who occupies a terrible niche in the scheme of things that no other man, angel, or demon could ever hope to fill. And so, while the Bible remains a pristine recollection of divine wisdom as handed down by the Lord God Almighty in all other respects, it is woefully lacking where the harbinger of the End of Days is concerned.
