Several years ago I took part in a challenge at an austencentric website. The challenge was to take a drabble (in this case, a short story of 100 words) already posted to the board and write a longer story of 5,000 words or less following the theme of the drabble.
The theme of this drabble is: the hero as a villain. This is the drabble created by Grace Regan.
Studiously dissolute, Frederick eyes his object. Blonde. Buxom. Young. Foolishly infatuated by the uniform, if not the man. Consciously unlike she he desires to forget, she who proved too easily persuaded. Just not by him.
