Phil was out at his friend’s house, supposedly talking about business, when the phone rang. Brook picked up the receiver.
“Hello? Brook speaking,”
Brook was twenty-six years old. She was very tall for a woman, at six feet three inches, and she was well built and voluptuous. She had a thirty-eight DD chest, her waist measured twenty-eight inches and her hips thirty-six. She was, as some of the cruder of the young men in town put it, well stacked. Her hair was black with ringlets falling to just below her shoulders, and she always clipped a cloth red rose to the side of her head, which gave her a Spanish look. Her skin was ivory white. She never sunbathed because even a short exposure to the sun produced serious sunburn. Her face was soft and round, with just a hint of a rosy tint on the highlights of her cheeks. Her eyelashes were long and as black as the raven, emphasising her stunning emerald green eyes. Usually, she wore figure-hugging clothes, but Phil hated it. He told her repeatedly that she was showing off her wares and flaunting her body. She knew how jealous he was of any other man looking at her and admiring her, but she took no notice and continued to dress in clothes that attracted attention.
