She lived inside of a palace, but her Father, the King, played with too many toys. She wanted to play with toys but she was not allowed, for all Princesses were to use their spare time to train to become Queens, like their Mothers. It didn’t matter what she wanted, she was to follow a strict schedule.

Father King, he had many toys. Some covered in blood, others covered in bodily fluids Princess had not been exposed to yet. The toys were in a treasure chest, locked away in the West Wing of the palace. She knew where the key was, but she was too afraid to sneak it away from Father King.

Mother Queen kept Princess on her toes. She made sure she kept Princess to her duties. She taught Princess to walk like a lady and balance the books upon her head. She taught Princess the proper way to pour tea, the proper way to greet foreigners, and the proper way to speak - which was, of course, not at all. Ladies did not speak, except on rare occasions.
