Leigh sat staring at the blinking cursor on her new laptop. She had completed all the spreadsheets and comparison graphs but the report with her recommendations still needed to be written. She had been trying to write it for over an hour but her mind kept drifting to the past. Back to her past and why she had had to leave everything she had ever known and loved.

She had not made any close friends since her abrupt move from Washington State three years ago. She had told no one the real reason for her request to head up the accounting department at the very troubled California hub. When asked she usually said it was to be closer to her daughter and oldest sister; which was true but not the whole truth. Not even her daughter Natalia, or her son Derik, knew what was really behind her sudden move.
