The flight from Chicago to Atlanta was supposed to be uneventful and boring as I accompanied my Grandmother to my cousin Brittany's graduation party. It was a trip that I wasn't looking forward to. I had never been down South, and I had a million of my own things going on at home.
My own graduation party was only last year, and with one year of college under my belt I had returned home for the summer only to be appointed Grandma Henderson's chaperone. Nice. She sat in her seat and complained the whole time. Her floral granny gown smock that exposed her armpits made my skin crawl. She said the seats were too close together, the cushions were too hard, bitched that no lunch was being served, and it was only a two hour flight!
All of my things were still in boxes in my old room, and I wanted nothing more than a night out with my friends. In high school, I had a few boyfriends and all, but my sexual experiences were mostly made up of quick and quiet teenage romps. Trying not to get caught was usually the main objective, but every now and then it was thrilling to run out of someone's back door in your underwear when their parents came home unexpectedly.
