Interview with 30Day Test Prep

What motivated you to become an indie author?
Becoming an indie author afforded me a low barrier to entry and allows me to set the price of my e-books. Rather than wait on a publishing house, I was able to produce my own e-book and control it's release.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords is a simple platform, which fits with my publishing needs.
What are you working on next?
Right now 30testprep has released two 30 Day study guides - one for the ACT and one for the SAT. Our plan is to examine which other standardized tests can be hacked and prepped for in 30 days and release additional titles in this vein.
Who are your favorite authors?
Non-fiction: Malcolm Gladwell, Nicholas Nassim Taleb, and Michael Lewis
What's the story behind your latest book?
There is a lot of information that shows the expensive and time consuming SAT and ACT preparatory courses don't actually raise student's test scores. There is no conclusive evidence that shows spending large amounts of money on SAT or ACT preparatory courses will benefit the students investing in them. Our aim with 30 Day Test Prep is to provide students a low cost alternative that will prepare them for the SAT or ACT test.
