Interview with B Urban Lombard

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew-up in Gauteng, South Africa. This enabled me to experience the sporting life at school, Army and University. Many of the Life Secret questions and answers I gained from interacting and communicating with the top Achievers, coupled with my experience as a lecturer at UNISA to communicate in writing to students.
When did you first start writing?
As lecturer at UNISA in 1972.
What's the story behind your latest book?
LIFE'S SECRETS: KEYS TO SUCCESS. A COACHING MODEL
This is a guidebook for high school learners, students, young people, work seekers, parents and grandparents who wish to make a success of their careers and life.
The purpose of this volume is to assist you to learn from great Achievers and international icons like Nelson Mandela, Mark Shuttleworth, Dr. Anna Mokgokong,
Dr. Anton Rupert, Gary Player, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Graham Bell, Prof. Albert Einstein, Dr. David Livingstone, Arthur Rubinstein, Rick Warren and great historical figures such as Aristotle, Augustine, Shakespeare and Zeno.

It will further assist and help you to:

Achieve spiritual fitness
Develop motivation, self-development and leadership
Achieve success from a Christian point of view
Understand the wonders of nature
What motivated you to become an indie author?
It provides and gives the writer access to an international market.

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
To share the Secrets of Life and the Life Skills with young and older people.
What do your fans mean to you?
They mean a lot to the writer, because it will reflect their willingness to learn from the great Achievers that made them successful in life.
What are you working on next?
How to translate and apply the Life Skills practically into a person's work life.
Who are your favorite authors?
Wilbur Smith and John Grisham.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
To be able to face life squarely and share with others our blessings with enthusiasm, courage and motivation.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Enjoying outdoor life and camping.
How do you approach cover design?
Professionally. It must reflect the essence of the book story and theme.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
My book on Life Secrets: Keys to Success includes inspirational guiding principles and target markets for all:
• Final year High school learners in Grade 12, which can serve as a farewell gift from School Boards with the purpose to act as their life atlas and compass. This handbook can also be prescribed by the Department of Education to be used in Grades 8-11 in their Life Orientation courses
• Students as a supplementary academic textbook in various strata of academia: Business Management, Social Science and Development, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Philosophy, Bible Studies, Life Skills and motivational courses.
• Travel Agents who can include it in their travel packages’ costs and documentation for clients.
• Event Organisers who can add it in as a hand-out to delegates at seminars.
