I grew up in Mississippi but also spent a great deal of time in Wisconsin. In each place, I was able to experience all the joys of life and the two very different environments. In Mississippi, southern living was an everyday thing. I was used to the southern accents and the ease of slow paced living. Time seemed to pass slow as the days were long and quiet. When in Wisconsin, summer heat and accents seemed to disappear. I experienced nature in its full force through camping, hiking and horseback riding. Time was always fleeting as there was never a dull moment. These experiences shape my world, my writing and my way of thinking.

I started writing when I was very young. I did it mostly to express my inner thoughts. In the beginning, I wrote in my diary daily, then poetry and songs writing filled my free time. Before I knew it, I was writing short stories about insects and amphibians that eventually transformed into two children's series as well as many more books.

My latest book, The Last Quarter: Purr of the Panther, is actually the second book in my Last Quarter Series. This particular book focuses on a relationship building between a man, who is a shape shifting panther and a woman, who is an animal rights activist and conservationist. The relationship builds when the male character, Matheson Burke rescues the woman, Ashley Andrews, while in panther form from another panther dwelling in rain forest of Brazil.

I've always wanted to make my work available to others. Becoming an indie writer was a given. I have been able to write and have my works published without any upfront cost. Becoming an Indie writer took away all the pressures of seeing my dream realized.

Smash words has been so amazing. I have received so much exposure and have received so many complements because of Smash words. In each and every step of publication, Smash words has always been there. Whether its creating a cover or submitting a manuscript, Smash words made sure that the work was up to the standards of all e-books. The guides helped me on my book formatting as well as cover image sizing. I will forever be grateful to Smash words for all of my success as an indie writer.

The greatest joy of writing is to entertain people, to take them on an adventure with words and to open their eyes and minds to new experiences.

Fans mean a lot to me. I would like to hear their opinions about my work, whether is good or bad. A writer needs to know what fans enjoy or what they find unpleasant. Praise as well as constructive criticism from fans actually helps me a great deal. I want to draw them and keep them by my side not send them running in the opposite direction.

My next book will be the third installment of the Last Quarter Series, Unleashing of the Leopard.

I have a lot of favorite authors but I especially love reading Danelle Steele and Steven King.

What inspires me the most when I get out of bed is that everyday offers new experiences, new adventures and time to spend with my family and friends.

When I'm not writing, I'm usually working and thinking about writing. Other than that, I love watching movies, Korean dramas and being outdoors.
