Interview with AJC

Published 2013-09-19.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
It was one of the Narnia books - The Magicians Nephew, and I remember thinking, "you will never be able to read a whole book - you are too little!"

I think by the second chapter I was hooked and after that I always had a book on the go, although as I got older the genre changed to modern romance, although the Narnia novel still hold a special place in my memory.
How do you approach cover design?
I like browsing through photographs looking for images that might fit the storyline of one of my novels, and for back grounds I sometimes use a photograph that I took myself on my mobile phone.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
The Magician's Nephew by C S Lewis - it was the first book that I ever read.
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen - I just love the characters and the read.
David Eddings - The Belgariad (ALL) my return to fantasy as an adult
David Eddings - The Malloreon (ALL) A whole series that I just could not put down
Magician by Raymond E Feist - It's my most read novel and the condition of it shows that. :)
Describe your desk
Cluttered!
When did you first start writing?
I've dabbled with writing many times, over the years. And when not writing or reading I just used to sit and daydream - every chance that I got.
